Gabriel’s passion for the game of soccer started at the age of three in his home country Colombia, South America where he competed for a spot in the German international academy or, Deutsche Schule Cali. Once becoming a member of the team, he devoted his youth to school and soccer while further developing his skills and competing around the country and South America region. He moved to the United States at the age of 15 where he attended Dyer County High School in Tennessee. As a high school student, Gabriel played Wide Receiver and Kicker for the Football Team, participated in Track & Field running the 110 and 400 meter hurdles race, and was an All-District and All-Region soccer player while setting a school record for most assists. He moved to Chicago, IL where he attended Loyola University Chicago and majored in Finance and International Business while obtaining a minor in Chinese Mandarin. As a college student, Gabriel studied a semester abroad in Beijing, China at the University of International Business and Economics and played soccer for the University team, exposing him to a competitive soccer culture in China. Today, Gabriel is currently a Senior Analyst for Northern Trust Hedge Fund Services and a Volunteer mentor for the Posse Foundation and Moneythink.
