Joaquin developed as a player throughout the farm systems of various professional soccer teams in Spain. Since moving to the USA at the age of 20, Joaquin has, and continues to play on various competitive amateur teams and leagues in Chicago. He is currently the Head Coach of the Boys’ and Girls’ Soccer Teams at Alcott Elementary School in Chicago, and prior to that, he coached the boy’s soccer team at the Lab School of the University of Chicago. Joaquin is certified by the US Soccer Federation as an “E” Licensed coach. Prior to pursuing his life-long dream of becoming a soccer coach and mentor, Joaquin was a lead engineer for a large manufacturing company in Chicago. He obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC).
